FAQs

Frac Tanks were standardized at 21,000 gallons (500 Barrels or 500 BBL) because that container size is the largest that a semi-tractor can haul so they ended up making 100,000+ of these standard sized tanks.

Yes, frac tanks have king pins and are hauled on the fifth wheel of standard semi-tractors. We can lift the frac tank on to your truck (the tounge weight is 8,000lb) and we ensure that every frac tank is 100% ready to ship. That includes inspected or repaired lights, tires, and brakes.

The frac tank valves are 4" wafer style butterflyvalves with 4" Full Face Buna-N 150# rubber gaskets and 4" 150# threaded flanges with 4" bar plugs (you can use PVC).  The bolts on the flanges are (1/2" x 4").

Please note that you as Purchaser are responsible for providing equipment, at delivery, to lift the frac tank(s) off the transport semi-tractor, the tongue weight is approximately 8,000 pounds.

As an alternative, you can use wooden blocks to temporarily block up the tank so that the tractor can disengage from the frac tank and drive away; if so, place the blocks under the rails about 15 feet back from the front of the tank where the blocks should be about 30 inches from the rail to the ground.

Every tank listed in our inventory is ready to ship. We've inspected or repaired the lights, tires, and brakes and ensured the frac tank is ready to ship. Upon order, we post the tank for pickup on a trucking load board to book drivers. Booking a driver can take 1-3 business days and we always get the frac tanks delivered within 7 business days of purchase.

We steam clean our frac tanks at 180 degrees with high pressure washers or gamma jet sprayers.

All of our frac tanks have an existing interior epoxy liner that is on the inside of the frac tank. Our frac tank liners come as-is and vary from tank models. The condition of the liner is oftern reflected in the price of the frac tank. For most of customers storing water, waste water, septic, and other lower cost liquids, our lower priced frac tanks work well for their needs.

We recommend Interstate Products for their frac tank berms.
