What is a Frac Tank? Frac tanks were created for use in the hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking" industry. A frac tank is a large mobile storage vessel used to hold waste water and chemicals at a well site in advance of a hydraulic fracturing treatment, or simply "frac" treatment.
A standard frac tank holds 500 barrels of fluid, or 21,000 gallons, and has valves on the front which allows several of them to be connected as required for the "frac job".
The most common tanks are flat-top with 1/4 inch corrugated walls. They are portable, and designed to fit perfectly onto a semi truck.
Below, find out just a few of the industries we've helped with used frac tanks.
